“The 100% Natural Way to Control Dust”

Dust control in equestrian settings is of critical importance for the health, performance and comfort of the horse and the rider.  Minimizing airborne dust is the primary goal in the selection and management of equestrian footing material. Watering the arena footing is the most common way to reduce dust.  Unfortunately, this method is equipment and labor intensive and provides only temporary dust control.

Capillary pore space is made up of small pores that hold water against the force of gravity.  This stored water is available to surrounding fines which reduces the need for watering and the generation of dust.  Non-capillary or air holding pore space is made up of larger pores that increases loft and reduces compaction providing a cushioned footing to minimize concussion on horse legs.
