Western Pozzolan Corporate Background

Western Pozzolan Corporation (WPC) is a corporation formed under the statutes of the State of Nevada. The Corporation operates the Long Valley Pozzolan Plant in Lassen County, California. The Corporations activities will include mining, processing, developing and marketing pozzolan for a variety of applications for which this inorganic, industrial mineral is uniquely suited. These applications include a sorbent product, an additive to cement which increases strength and moisture impermeability, as well as agricultural uses for water conservation.

The extent of the mineral deposits was established by a geological study commissioned in May of 1974. The study was performed by Dr. Richard E. Goodman; Dr. B. Slemmons and Mr. Joseph F. Leising, three of the most respected and accredited men in their field. The survey concluded that the Long Valley area contains at least 50,000,000 cubic yards of very high quality amorphous pozzolan. They also concluded that the deposits “may exceed that volume by ten (10) times or more”. Therefore, by conservative estimates, there are 50 million tons of mineral and the deposit could easily contain in excess of 500,000,000 tons. Long Valley contains the largest and highest quality of the identified and viable pozzolan deposits known to exist in North America.

The Long Valley Pozzolan Plant is located in Lassen County, California, approximately 30 miles northwest of Reno, Nevada. The Plant was originally constructed in 1966. The warehouse and bagging facilities were added in the mid-1980's. Numerous additions and modifications to the Plant have occurred since the original construction. A 35-car rail spur was constructed and is located adjacent to the Union Pacific mainline. Western Pozzolan currently owns 6,000 acres of mining claims in Long Valley.

Currently, the Long Valley Pozzolan Plant is fully permitted for operation.
